PRIVATEFLY SAW EUROPEAN FLIGHT ACTIVITY UP 26% IN Q3

New quarterly insights report reflects a record-breaking Summer 2019 in Europe for the private charter booking platform

A year on from joining Directional Aviation’s OneSky family, PrivateFly is continuing to generate year-on-year charter growth that outperforms the market, with its latest quarterly insights report reflecting 26% more flights in Europe, compared to last year.

The company has just published its Private Jet Charter Trends report for Q3 2019, which looks back at flight activity for the period between July and September.

Adam Twidell, PrivateFly’s CEO comments: “Our new report reflects a very busy summer at PrivateFly, particularly in Europe where our flight numbers were 26% higher than last summer. Demand growth was generated from new and existing PrivateFly clients, and from our extended OneSky family.

“Our market-leading pricing, including the certainty offered by our fixed route City Pairs offer on the Nextant 400XTi and Legacy 600, proved attractive over the seasonal peak in Europe. And our brand’s visibility continues to increase since joining OneSky last year, which has brought many benefits to us as a business, including strengthening our relationships with operators and the industry at large.”

Andrew Collins of OneSky added “At OneSky we’ve always been impressed with PrivateFly’s efforts to analyze and disseminate the market and it’s great to see this latest report reflect such a strong period for the team and the brand.”

Findings from PrivateFly’s Q2 report include:

  • The Nextant 400XTi was the company’s most-chartered aircraft, followed by the Citation XLS and Legacy 600.
  • London, New York City & Nice were the top 3 flight destinations worldwide - with Ibiza and Paris not far behind.
  • 63% of PrivateFly’s online flight searches took place on a mobile (versus desktop or tablet) - up from 51% last year.
