VERONA VILLAFRANCA AIRPORT HISTORY

The airport was used for civilian traffic from 1910 and become a military airport during the First World War. The airport went through major development during the 1970s when its first passenger terminal and handling facilities were built. These facilities were expanded in the 1990 to meet growing demands for the Football World Cup during the same year.
